Spanning 40 acres across the City of Racine and Village of Mount Pleasant, Quarry Lake Park is the former home of a limestone quarry. The 25-acre, ADA-accessible community park contains 11 acres of land in the primary environmental corridor and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Steelhead Facility. Park-goers can enjoy walking and biking along the River Root Pathway connecting Lincoln Park to Colonial Park. Additionally, visitors can utilize the baseball diamond and football field, while children can frolic in the playfield and on the playground. Educational opportunities present themselves with the historical exhibit and ability to fish from a boat with the kayak and canoe launch. The park has public restrooms and picnic areas, with a shelter available for rent.

Island Park is a 21-acre, ADA-accessible community park along the Root River with a section of the Root River Pathway. Island Park makes up a primary environmental corridor with a small wetlands pocket. The community park hosts a playfield, a playground with sand, two league baseball diamonds, restrooms, and picnic areas. Take a second to read over and reflect on the historical exhibit before pushing off at the canoe launch. A shelter is available for rent as well.

The 2-acre neighborhood park is situated along the Root River. Additionally, park attendees can use the Root River Pathway to walk or bike to Island Park and other connecting parks. Cedar Bend Park is home to Riverside and Clayton Park, where picnics can be had on the riverbank and pick-up basketball games can be held. Furthermore, Clayton Park provides a playground with sand instead of blacktop to prevent cuts and scrapes. The primary environmental corridor with wetlands protects Cedar Bend Park.

The five acre neighborhood park is home to a playground, playfield, and dog park. With many trees, picnic tables, and benches, there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the sun or shade. A chain link fence surrounds the property line, so you don’t have to worry about your child running off from the playground. Two area lights shine in the dark to allow for nighttime play or use of the three intersecting walking and bike trails. Let your dog socialize in the 80’ by 100’ small dog park or the 80’ by 200’ large dog park.
