    The Racine Public Library sits upon the beautiful banks of Lake Michigan. The Library originally opened in 1897 and has been established at its present location since 1958. In 1991, the Library underwent expansion. On September 7, 2022, the Racine Public Library will observe its 125th anniversary!

    Celebrate the remarkable feat and participate in the festivals, competitions, and events over the whole year. It’s been a journey through Racine’s history, but it has only begun. The Racine Public Library eagerly looks into the future. Learn more about the Strategic Plan to make the Racine Public Library “a world-class organization.”

    The purpose of the Learning Resources Center Library is “to educate, enrich, and empower our community by providing accessible, relevant resources.” The Library envisions itself as “the community’s learning environment of choice for educational collaboration.” The knowledgeable library staff can assist with finding materials and navigating the library catalog and other databases. Likewise, staff and faculty help with circulation, instruction, and interlibrary loaning (ILL). The Learning Resources Center library also offers wireless internet, computers, printers and scanners, and a safe group and quiet study environment.
