Explore Racine, Wisconsin’s Water Activities

Wisconsin’s Summers are an Unrivaled Experience

May through September offer hot days and pleasant nights with minimal pesty bugs.

All residents look forward to this time and try to be outside as much as possible – more specifically – on the water. Whether you like to kayak, canoe, paddle board, tube, water ski, wakeboard, fish, or swim and chill at the beach, Racine has you covered. Anglers can reel on the river, inland, or a charter.

You will find eager fisherman off the Lake Michigan shore in search of large lake trout and salmon. The annual Salmon-A-Rama competition is a great example of Racine’s water events that bring thousands of people to the area.

If you’re not an avid angler, no worries, visit Scott Monroe of Racine Riverside Marina and go sailing. You can experience the hard work sailing takes and enjoy the fruits of your labor when everything gets dialed in.

Racine’s beaches along Lake Michigan span seemingly forever with plenty of space to spread out, lay out, and catch some rays or a snooze. North Beach was the first Wisconsin beach receiving the Certified Blue Wave clean beach title by the National Beaches Coalition in 2004.
